Community Involvement

Her passion for customer success does not stop at the end of the work day, Tammy leverages her analytical and problem solving skills to improve her community, too.  For example, she saw a need at the local K – 8 school for a better way to communicate and connect to parents, students, and the community; so, she created a web site with multi-level administration, selective subscriptions, and multi-language support.

When the main commercial roadway was being reconstructed to solve flooding problems, Tammy saw it as an opportunity to transform the above-ground design to reflect the changing transportation needs of Miami Beach — she formed the Alton Road Reconstruction Coalition.  Through Tammy’s leadership and coordination with State and local legislators, the Florida Department of Transportation, the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, businesses, property owners, individuals, and community groups, the design was changed to achieve increased vehicle capacity, improve safety, stimulate economic vitality, provide community connectivity, and build a model roadway for the 21st century.
