Community Involvement

My passion for customer success does not stop at the end of the work day, I leverage my analytical and problem solving skills to improve my community, too.  For example, I saw a need at the local K – 8 school for a better way to communicate and connect to parents, students, and the community; so, I created a web site with multi-level administration, selective subscriptions, and multi-language support.

When the main commercial roadway in Miami Beach was being reconstructed to solve flooding problems, I recognized it as an opportunity to transform the above-ground design to reflect the changing transportation needs of the community. I formed the Alton Road Reconstruction Coalition.  Through my leadership and coordination with state and local legislators, the Florida Department of Transportation, the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, businesses, property owners, individuals, and community groups, the design was changed to achieve increased vehicle capacity, improve safety, stimulate economic vitality, provide community connectivity, and build a model roadway for the 21st century.
